Welcome to the Sweet Dreams website...
This site is dedicated to the Sweet Dreams Series of books published in the 1980's and early 1990's and some related
book series that I also dabbled in as a teenager.
Most prominently of these was the
Heartbreak Café books by Janet Quin-Harkin,
a series that I loved as a girl. Strangely though what I did not realise, until I started to set up this site,
was that Quin-Harkin also wrote many of the books from the Sweet Dreams series.
Once I delved into it may of the
authors wrote for several different series, Rosemary Vernon another big
contributor to SD also wrote many books for the Caprice series for example.
I decided to set up this website in a fit of nostalgia and a interest in finding out if I'm the only one who
looks back on these books with fondness!
Are they as good as I remember them as a teenager? Probably not, but I'll have fun, (and a few flashbacks to my
teenage years) finding out!
